Fashion Plantation represents the façade of domination that permeated across the south. Our project attempts to unveil this fragile façade; our investigations illustrate the dynamics between those who seek to dominate and that which resist (land, water, and the enslaved). This fragility manifested itself in a culture of fear as rebellion and, eventually, war further fractured the "essential" arguments that held up the industry of slavery.  We seek to highlight both the ecological domination during the era of the sugarcane plantation and the industrial nature of the region today.
